What is Pre-K Counts?
The Pennsylvania Pre-K Counts program, established by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, provides quality pre-kindergarten opportunities to income eligible families with children who are 3 years of age until the entry age for Kindergarten.
The Pennsylvania Pre-K Counts program prepares children for reading and math, but also for paying attention, following directions, and getting along with others. Enrolling your child in quality pre-k means your child has a better chance of being ready for kindergarten.
Families are qualified for free care if they meet the income guidelines below.
